The Boston Area Young Professionals held their annual Red Sox summer outing on Monday, July 17th. Over 40 biotech and pharma professionals of all ages gathered before the game at Bullpen Kitchen + Tap (formerly known as Who’s on First) to socialize, eat some great food and, most importantly, collect their Sox tickets!
Win or lose, the YP-hosted Red Sox Outing is one of the Chapter’s most popular activities.
After a couple of hours of networking, drinking, and eating, the group headed over to the park to cheer the Red Sox on as they took on the Toronto Blue Jays. The Sox got off to a rough start in the first two innings, with Toronto gaining a 3 – 0 lead. A comeback looked imminent in the seventh when the Sox tied it up, however Toronto secured their win in the eighth, finishing the game with a final score of 4 – 0.
The YPs took over three rows in the grandstand and, despite the Sox loss, everybody had a lot of fun. A special thank you from the YPs to our friends at Sequence, Azzur, and Integra, joint sponsors for this event. We couldn’t have done it without your support!
