The 2018 ISPE Boston Area Chapter Product Show is almost here! This Show has always been a great place to see the latest and greatest offerings from industry vendors and the best place to network with industry colleagues. But this year, the educational program will be the highlight of the Show with an educational agenda rich with content and presentations by some of the industry’s best and brightest. There will be something for everyone! Be sure to register to attend these free sessions.
There will be 20 presentations throughout the day divided into four tracks:
- TRACK 1: RISK MANAGEMENT & QUALITY
- TRACK 2: THE FUTURE OF BIOPHARMA MANUFACTURING
- TRACK 3: BIOPHARMA MANUFACTURING EFFICIENCIES & IMPROVEMENTS
- TRACK 4: OPTIMIZING FACILITIES THROUGH INNOVATIONS & TECHNOLOGIES
I’ll be blogging about the four tracks over the weeks leading up to the Show. Today, I want to tell you about the first track – Risk Management & Quality.
This is a topic near and dear to everyone in our industry. We have all heard the horror stories of what happens to a manufacturing plant that does not pay attention to these critical issues. To help educate you, we have brought is experts to talk about different aspects in this field.
First at 10:30am, Philip Crincoli of Airvac will present on Industrial Vacuum Liquid & Waste Water Conveyance Systems in Cleanroom Syringe Washing Operations & Other Applications. These types of systems reduce risk and are especially useful in cleanrooms and controlled environments where traditional wastewater conveyance systems are not safe or practical.
Then at 12:00pm, Joe Manfredi of GMP Systems will present on Sanitary Design: Are We Straying from Best Practices? Grab some of the free food and head up to learn why you need to properly consider microbial unpredictability in the design and installation of your sanitary systems.
At 1:30pm, welcome back a former member of the ISPE Boston Area Chapter Board, David Macdonald of Hyde Engineering. Dave is coming back to Boston from his home in Colorado to share Risk Management in Practice: 10 Lessons from the Trenches.
At 3:00pm, Joseph Whyte of Rockwell Automation will be making a timely presentation on how to Leverage Analytics from the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to Maximize Production and Maintain Regulatory Compliance If you have ever had trouble with Alexa or Siri, then you understand the challenges of achieving a connected enterprise and Joe will discuss a strategy for digital transformation.
The track ends at 4:30pm with a presentation by Michael Bogan of ICQ Consultants on A Proven Approach to Increasing Compliance While Increasing Efficiency: A Win/Win for Everyone. This will be a very good session for those looking for proven strategies for the development and implementation of a quality by design program.
So don’t be like our friend, Alfred E. Neuman. Sit in on one or all of these free sessions and come away a little smarter.
See you next week when I’ll write about Track Two: The Future of Biomanufacturing Engineering.
