We are thrilled to announce that George West from Albireo Energy will be joining the Student Development Committee. George will be phasing into the committee leadership role over the next 6-12 months as Brian Hagopian and Paige Kane phase into “less active but still involved” roles with the committee. George brings a wealth of management experience to this growing committee and will ensure the the committee continues with its mission of helping students prepare for careers in the life sciences industry. If you have a passion for helping and would like to play a role in shaping the future of the Boston Area Chapter, we would welcome your involvement regardless of how much time you are able to commit.
Succession planning has been the biggest challenge faced by the Student Development Committee this year. Brian Hagopian has spent the past several years putting a solid foundation in place for our Student Chapters and now it’s time to take the committee to the next level. The committee has some great ideas and plans for our students and we are looking to increase the committee’s involvement at each of our Student Chapter campuses. To be more involved, we need more people on the committee, and that’s where you come in.
If you have an interest in helping to shape the future of the Boston Area Chapter, we could sure use your assistance, regardless of the amount of time you are able to commit. Even if it’s an hour or two here or there, if you have an interest or passion for helping, we’d love you to share your energy with students interested in our industry. If you’ve been wanting to volunteer but have been waiting for the right moment, here is the perfect opportunity! In the true spirit of “many hands make light work,” we’re looking for several people to “tag team” each of our Student Chapters to increase ISPE’s presence on campus. Check out the list of Student Chapters and if you live or work near any of these campuses, or if you’re an alum, we’d love your help.
