“Nice to E-Meet You!”

For the first time ever on Thursday, April 29th, the ISPE Boston Area Chapter’s Women In Pharma (WIP) Committee collaborated with the Delaware Valley’s WIP Committee in a joint networking event. Twenty three of the Boston area WIP members joined in on Del Val WIP’s quarterly mentoring circle. We were also delighted to have members from ISPE Canada’s WIP affiliate join us as well.

The evening allowed us to meet “virtually” and began with a brief around-the-room introduction. We then broke out into smaller groups for more individual conversations. In response to feedback from prior events, the format focused on longer sessions for more in-depth conversations versus the “speed dating” networking approach. The program format consisted of two 15-minute smaller group sessions with different members each time, and closed out with a wrap-up session in the main zoom room with all participants.

It was great to meet new people which has been a tremendous challenge over the past year. The session went by very quickly, and we received constructive feedback during the wrap-up session on how to make upcoming networking/mentor circle programs more effective in the future.
