Chapter Celebrates with a Real Summer Social!

The waitlist didn’t stop attendees from having a good time at this year’s Summer Social at Dorchester Brewing Company where Chapter members and friends filled DBC’s “Hopservatory” four-season rooftop greenhouse and surrounding roof deck. While a brewery tour was not possible this year, attendees were able to enjoy delicious food from M&M BBQ and beer made in-house and a great mini-course presentation.

First up was incoming Chapter President Tom Struble who welcomed everyone and encouraged participation in the Chapter. Attendees then enjoyed the Biotechnology of Beer mini-course presented by Brian Donovan from Nitto Avecia who joined forces with Chapter Past President Kevin Chronley of AZ to deliver the presentation. Many joined Brian after the program for questions and a deeper dive into the subject matter. As the night wound down, attendees retired to the outdoor roof deck and enjoyed a stunning sunset overlooking Boston.

This year’s Summer Social was supported by the efforts of both the Educational Program Committee and the Social Committee. It also served as an appreciation event for volunteers, members, and friends of the Chapter, and was a great opportunity to see so many people in person.
