The ISPE Boston Area Chapter has proudly awarded $12,400 to the following area students as part of the Chapter’s Joel Goldenberg Memorial Scholarship Program, bringing the total awarded in 2016 to $24,950. The Scholarship Program has been named in honor of Joel Goldenberg, a Past President of the Boston Area Chapter whose wish was to support the educational pursuits of ISPE Members and their families. Awards are merit-based, with preference given to applicants pursuing careers in engineering disciplines that support the development and operation of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical enterprises.

The Joel Goldenberg Memorial Scholarship Program is one of several programs the Chapter has designed to help local students prepare for careers in the life sciences industry. Others include the Annual Student Career Forum (held this year on January 28 at Northeastern University), the Annual Student Poster Competition (to be held April 13 at WPI) and an array of activities at the 13 local Student Chapters supported by the Boston Area Chapter.
The Chapter is currently accepting applications (deadline June 1) from graduating high school seniors, undergrads, grad students, and professionals working in the industry who are continuing their education part-time. Applicants must be members of the Boston Area Chapter and provide information about their academic, extra-curricular and community service accomplishments, and their involvement with ISPE and the life sciences industry.
