Several Chapter members attended the NH High Tech Council event about Biotech/Medtech in Manchester, NH on April 5. Dean Kamen and others from the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) presented their vision of the future of tissue engineering. ARMI is charged with bringing tissue engineered products to market and is involved with product development, manufacturing and regulation. To accomplish these tasks, ARMI has formed a consortium of universities, companies and government entities.
In conjunction with CELLINK, ARMI is sponsoring a two-day regenerative manufacturing event – the first annual BioHackNH – to be held in the STEM Discovery Lab at UNH Manchester on May 18-19. College students interested in STEM and regenerative manufacturing are invited to explore its possibilities by engaging in real-world problem-solving. At the event, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about regenerative manufacturing from leading experts
- Explore real-world applications
- Have the opportunity to create their own solutions
- Manufacture tissue using CELLINK bioprinters
BioHackNH is open to college students from any major who are interested in printing bio parts. The event is free but if you’d like to attend, you need to apply in advance. Space is limited so don’t delay. Additional details can be found at the link below.
