Sun, Bruins & Live Auction at Spring Golf Tournament

The ISPE Boston Area Chapter’s Social Committee hosted the Annual Spring Golf Outing at Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, MA on May 14th. It was perfect, sunny weather for this sold-out event and ISPE Chapter members and guests enjoyed an invigorating day of golf. The course was in amazing shape and the Ledgemont Country Club staff provided exceptional service, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of.

The day started off with a full lunch spread and a shotgun start at 12:00 noon. This year’s tournament was especially exciting as a celebrity group of former Bruins players Bob Sweeney, Jay Miller, and Paul Mara (also the assistant head coach of US Women’s Gold Medal Hockey Team) competed with us on the course! The groups enjoyed cocktails and laughs in the afternoon sun as everyone convened on the relaxing clubhouse deck. Attendees later headed in for a delicious dinner spread and awards were given out for the different hole contests and first, second, and third place finishers (winners listed below).

Attendees enjoyed a lively auction with Bob Sweeney to benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation, a non-profit organization that assists charitable organizations committed to enhancing the quality of life for children throughout New England. Auction prizes included Bruins tickets and a Zamboni ride, and our own generous attendees joined in on the fly, donating foursomes at their own golf clubs to auction off and benefit the Bruins Foundation. Attendees also raised $1,130 through the tournament’s 50/50 raffle, with the full amount benefiting the Boston Bruins Foundation thanks to 50/50 raffle winner Tamara Johnson (Boston Analytical) generously donating her winnings back to the cause.
